Tintype Portrait Booth
We are Manhattan’s premiere tintype portrait studio, specializing in 19th century wet plate photography. All proceeds benefit Penumbra Foundation, a nonprofit, member-supported organization dedicated to preserving historical and emulsion-based photography. Our goal is to be a comprehensive resource for photographers at any level—artists, students, professionals, historians, researchers, conservators, and curators.
Event Safety Guidelines
Please note, that we require everyone, regardless of their vaccination status, to wear a mask while participating in our Photoville Community Day workshops, tours and family activities. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if they are not wearing a mask, are not practicing a reasonable amount of social distancing or are conducting themselves in a way that puts other attendees’ safety and wellbeing in jeopardy.
