This can’t-be-missed FREE visual storytelling event will incorporate all the usual festival fun into one jam-packed weekend in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

This year, we’re amping it up with two full days of family-friendly activities, performances, tours, and screenings. There is something for everyone:

Leica Camera will once again be with us leading workshops, and Penumbra is back with their tintype portrait booth. We have family activities with Creatively Wild and Brooklyn Bridge Parents, workshops with the International Center of Photography, artist-led walking walking tours with Adobe and tours guided by Photoville founders, festival artists, and curators. And we can’t forget to mention the in-person photography and zine-making workshops (just to name a few!). And if you get hungry, we got you with scrumptious bites at the Smorgasburg Pop Up.

As the sun sets, join us for an evening of music, history, community, and (of course) beautiful visual storytelling! To commemorate our 12th year, Photoville will present an evening of photography that reflects how we see our history: including a centennial celebration of TIME Magazine, an intimate reflection on returning home to Iraq by Washington Post photographer, Salwan Georges, and celebrations of our local NYC communities from We Build The Block and Magnum Foundation. Topping it all off, we’re sharing a special preview of “Contact High,” showcasing the history of hip-hop photography.

And end the night with us as one of our favorites, DJ LiKWUiD closes out with tunes and dancing under the stars!
