Elizabeth Casasola

Professor in the Master of Visual Arts for Postgraduate Arts and Design at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Pagina en blando Tutor. Doctoral student of Visual Arts for the Postgraduate Degree in Arts and Design at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She completed a doctoral research stay at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master with PHotoESPAÑA in Photography, Theories and Artistic Projects. She directed the Muestra y Concurso de Cortometraje de la Zona Centro, Fondo Regional para la Cultura y las Artes de la Zona Centro y la Secretaría de Cultura del Estado de México. Her visual work has been exhibited in Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Japan, and Australia.

• Shortlisted in the Open Competition, Creative category of the 2024 Sony World Photography Awards.

• Won Best Latam Women’s Project 2023 in Enfoque – Conecta. Internationalization Platform and Network for Latin American Photography, Bogotá International Festival, Latin American Photography Foundation.

• Finalist in the Alternative Techniques, Professionals category at the FINI XII International Image Festival.

• Won a jury mention at LensCulture Art Photography 2023 for “The Garden of Forking Paths.”

• Won an honorable mention in the “Conflict and Discord” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Querétaro during the 2022 Image Meeting of the Autonomous University of Querétaro.

• First place in the Photography, Student category at the FINI X International Image Festival.

• Participated in Descubrimientos PHotoESPAÑA 2019 and won a scholarship for a Master in Photography, Theories and Artistic Projects.

• Nominated for a Photography Grant, London, as a New Talent in Photography, 2018.

• Won an Honorable Mention, Gold at the 2017 Tokyo International Foto Awards.
