The Color Of…is an aesthetic, technical and historical exploration of how color; capture, enhancement, interpretation and reproduction is influenced by culture, society and technological developments. While the science of color is at the intersection of biology, psychology and sociology – the art of color expands our expression, appreciation and understanding for the human experience. Based upon the popular class and best-selling book Color Management & Quality Output by SVA Masters in Digital Photography Associate Chair, Tom Ashe; this exhibit features contemporary photography created by SVA Masters in Digital Photography staff, faculty and alumni with technical yet approachable information to engage and educate the viewers. With thanks to our supporters and collaborators: B&H Photo & Video, X-Rite Photo & Video and the School of Visual Arts.
