BOROUGHS IN FOCUS: Photoville Festival Opening Night

CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS!
This year, Photoville will be kicking off its 15th annual festival with an evening of photography on our opening night: Boroughs In Focus.
Following up on our 2016 opening night, Battle of the Boroughs, we’re calling on all photographers to show us one of NYC’s five boroughs through their own unique lens. We invite submissions that capture the community, character, and core of each borough.
Let’s get down to it:
- Submit a photo story or collection of images representing your chosen borough (you do not need to be a current resident of that borough, but a connection helps).
- Submissions should be between 10–12 images, though alternates may be requested for the final selection.
- Photographers will be selected by the Photoville team in collaboration with invited curators and photography professionals.
- Selected submissions will be shown at the 2026 Photoville Opening Night Celebration, held in Brooklyn Bridge Park under the iconic Brooklyn Bridge on May 16, 2026.
- Participating photographers do not need to be in attendance, but we definitely welcome your presence!
- A small honorarium will be paid to the photographers whose work is selected.
