Tequila Minsky has been a documentary photographer for over four decades. For the last 25 years, she has focused on documenting life in Haiti, frequently pairing her images with words. Hours after Haiti’s earthquake in 2010, her photos were published on The New York Times’ website, and were published internationally the following day, as well as on the cover of all the New York dailies. When not traveling, she contributes to New York’s community papers, delighting in lesser-known events that deserve attention. She’s had two solo shows of her work from Haiti, sponsored in part by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
