We all have someone who got away from us. They might be a lost love, a forgotten friendship, or a missed connection. Oliver Blank’s portrait series The One Who Got Away is a meditation on grief and an invitation for shared catharsis.
To take part at Photoville, Oliver Blank will invite you to leave a recorded message for your one who got away. You’ll then experience a short photo session with Oliver where he will make your portrait. Your photograph and recorded message will be added to the ongoing series of The One Who Got Away.
Oliver Blank is a British-Persian photographer and artist making work about intimacy and affection. His work encompasses documentary photography, public installations, participatory artworks, and music. Oliver currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
