Learn how to take portraits anytime under any conditions during this photo walk at Photoville 2023.
Presenters: Esteban Toro
Have you ever wondered how to photograph people in difficult light conditions such as midday or direct sun? In this photo walk organized by School of Visual Arts, Continuing Education (SVACE), professional photographer and instructor Esteban Toro will be facing those issues in a live session by going out in the most challenging light of the day in New York City. You will discover how to use the available light to your advantage and get portraits anytime under any conditions, around your neighborhood or while traveling.
Join us to learn from a creative with more than 14 years of experience traveling the world and capturing portraits in every place he goes. Bring your camera (any camera!) and if you want to participate as a model, let us know that you’d like to be photographed!
Portraits in Challenging Conditions will take place during Photoville 2023, June 3-18. Annually, Photoville showcases projects across the spectrum of visual storytelling in shipping containers in Brooklyn Bridge Park. After the photo walk, please join us at our shipping container to view Tributaries, a group exhibition including Esteban’s work!
