Participants can cut, layer, and collage to make their own journal page. Rooted in play and creative freedom, this session offers a low-pressure space to slow down and work with your hands. All ages welcomed. No experience needed.

Sarai Garcia is a Dominican-American photographer from Queens, New York. Her work creates spaces of celebration and self-discovery, offering a fresh lens that highlights individuality and the beauty of being unapologetically oneself. Beyond photography, she is the founder of The Junk Edit, a community-centered journaling workshop that encourages creativity, connection, and rest through the art of junk journaling. Grounded in themes of community and self-care, Sarai’s practice bridges image-making and creative play, carving out space for people to slow down, reflect, and see themselves in empowering new ways.
Fresh Mercado is a visual culture platform translating creative intelligence for the future of image-making and tastemaking. As photography, design, and image-based media intersect with AI, FM helps professionals, artists, and in-house creative teams understand cultural shifts through writing, forecasting, events, and consulting. It is the home of Cafecito, a free annual 1:1 consulting initiative for visual creatives.
