Zines are an exciting part of the photography scene right now. They are lo fi publications – often homemade – that are unlimited and unconventional in subject matter. Conveyor Arts’ Zine Workshop invites teens to participate in this exciting outlet of creativity by making their very own zine.
Conveyor will provide blank booklets, scissors, glue sticks and variety of photographic images for participants to use in their project. You are also welcome to bring your own images to use!
The workshop will focus on sequencing images and finding unique ways to integrate them into the book format. Once the zine is complete, participants will get a chance to share their project with the rest of the class. And then bring it home for keeps!
Conveyor Arts is a small publishing and production house for artists’ books, zines and other printed matter related to photography. We also publish Conveyor Magazine, and organize exhibitions and programming related to print and photography.
