We’re Artist Too! shows off the talents of individuals behind the scenes who produce the art for exhibitions at the galleries and museums of New York. Everyone who works with at Skink Ink is an artist and/or photographer. This exhibit includes the work of current and former members of our team, including staff and the owner.

Philip Riley went to Central Saint Martins in London as a painter and printmaker. Vera Miljovic studied animation at Parsons School of Design in New York City, Brandon Sorg earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Columbia College Chicago, Carly Reiss received her Master of Fine Arts in Photography at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Photography at Hampshire College.

Caroline Schub received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at SUNY Purchase. Casey Dorobek earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Parsons The New School, Mike Zebrick studied Contemporary Art at Ramapo College, Anastazia Swerer-McNutt earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Pratt Institute, and Robin Myers received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and completed her Master of Fine Arts in Photography at Yale University.

Vera is a teaching assistant at the International Center of Photography (ICP), Robin teaches photography at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Philip has taught Photoshop at Parsons The New School. They are all practicing artists.

Philip has run two galleries, The Center 181 Gallery in London, where he showed many now-established British artists such as Yinka Shonibare and Jeremy Deller. He later ran Skink Ink, where he made and sold print editions for the gallery at our North 10th street Brooklyn address, from 2010 to 2014.

Collectively, the staff at Skink Ink have many lifetimes of education and experience in photography.

    Skink Ink

Skink Ink specialises in archival inkjet printing, which is fine art printing on wide-format printers using pigmented inks and archival papers. Also known as Archival Pigment printing, or Giclée prints, they can be made on any of a number of substrates, from canvases or cotton rag papers to photographic papers. They are highly suitable for exhibition or sale, and are favored by photographers, artists, galleries, and museums for digital printing of two dimensional works, especially photography.

We have worked for famed international institutions and galleries such as the Serpentine Gallery in London, the New Museum and the Brooklyn Museum in New York City, and for icons of publishing such as The New York Times.

We have worked for celebrated artists such as Donald Moffat, Christo, and Kehinde Wiley, and we’ve also worked for thousands of artists and photographers to produce their work for exhibition or sale.
