Plus photographers selected for PDN’s 30: New and Emerging Photographers to Watch from 1999 through 2018.
Every year since 1999, the editors of Photo District News, the publication for professional photographers, have selected thirty emerging photographers for its special issue, PDN’s 30: New and Emerging Photographers to Watch. This exhibition highlights the work of PDN’s 30 for 2019, a diverse group of up-and-coming photographers representing a variety of styles and genres, all of them chosen for creativity, enterprise, versatility, and distinctive vision.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of PDN’s 30, we are looking at work by photographers from previous issues of PDN’s 30. This retrospective provides insight into how artists continue to evolve through their creative work, and how much the world of photography has changed in two decades.
