Akili Ramsess is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photo editor and former Director of Photography of the Orlando Sentinel. She joined the NPPA as Executive Director in 2016. Prior to her work with the Orlando Sentinel, Ramsess established a distinguished career with a variety of news organizations from the Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Journal & Constitution, and the San Jose Mercury News. She is on the advisory board of the Eddie Adams Workshop and the National Association of Black Journalists Visual Task Force.
