Photographers are graduate and upper-level undergraduate students as well as recent alumni of the Multimedia Photography & Design (MPD) Department at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. The Department attracts students who are passionate about all types of visual storytelling— photography, multimedia, videography/cinematography and design.
After graduation, students work in journalism, advertising, fashion and the nonprofit world—with many choosing to work across industries. Many graduates find success as independent storytellers and freelancers while others have gone on to work for production houses, advertising studios and organizations such as Time.com, National Geographic, NPR, MediaStorm, Blue Chalk, The Washington Post, The New York Times, the New York Yankees, Major League Baseball, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The United Nations, Harper’s Bazaar, and Businessweek and others.
This exhibit is a curated selection of work from photographers who participated in C.O.R.E., an experiment in photographic community that started in the summer of 2013.
