Emily Jan is the coordinator of the Photo Editing division of NPPA’s Best of Photojournalism competition. Jan is Deputy Director of Visuals at the San Francisco Chronicle. Her extensive photo editing career included Art Director for the Atlantic, visual journalist and editor for the National Journal and assistant news photo editor for National Geographic.
