The goal is to help artists get clear about the fundamentals of marketing, branding and how to find build an audience for their work and connect with that audience. The workshop also breaks down the gallery – artist relationships and help artists avoid pit falls as they move forward in their professional career.This seminar is a brand-new En Foco offering, presented by Charlie Grosso, founder of Baang & Burne Contemporary (and En Foco’s awardee of New Works #11).

Charlie Grosso, a Chinese-American woman with a male Italian name, was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and grew up in Los Angeles. Combining her tenacious work ethic with her whip-smart business acumen, she has built an enviable career in arts and media. She has built an outstanding career as an advertising photographer and creative director in Los Angeles before she moved to NYC to found, Baang + Burne Contemporary and consults on branding and marketing for various start-ups. All in the while, she travels the world in pursuit of various creative and entrepreneurial projects. Her fine art photography garner wide acclaim and is frequently on exhibit both nationally and internationally. Charlie was En Foco’s New Works Photography Fellowship awardee in 2007.
