The summer of 2016 has created a turning point in the conversation about guns in America. Discussions about responsible gun ownership have devolved into political rhetoric. From Donald Trump’s implications about “Second Amendment people” to “I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place,” the violence has dramatically escalated. Civilians and police alike have become victims as bystanders, as targets. The questions remain: How did we get here? How do Americans stop the bloodbath?
War & Memory Presented by The Homecoming Project

War & Memory addresses the sometime devastating aftermath of war on American families, communities, veterans and military personnel. The exhibit focuses on issues including post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and suicide.
The Battles Back Home
In conjunction with the exhibit “War & Memory,” the panel will discuss issues faced by returning military and veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Our panelists will include photographers, journalists, veterans and mental health professionals.
