Chrysten Cornelio is a Puerto Rican and Dominican photographer. She was born and raised in Harlem and grew up on the Lower East Side. She gained appreciation for photography at the Lower Eastside Girls Club. She began taking photos of her community and neighbors while attending the Girls Club in elementary school. Cornelio loves making photos of street art and murals around New York City. The simple thought of people helping out others in her community and enjoying themselves brings a sense of peace to her and her photography.
