Photoville is proud to support our photographic community once again with a range of Professional Development opportunities, both in-person and online!
ACOS Alliance and the Committee to Protect Journalists are once again partnering with Photoville on a series of practical workshops supported by Leica Camera that will strengthen the safety skills of visual journalists at all stages of their career. These workshops will build upon each other to provide participants with a holistic understanding of how to better protect themselves before, during, and after assignments.
The topics covered include, but are not limited to, safety fundamentals such as risk assessments, threat modeling, digital security, and legal rights; how to safely cover elections and civil unrest; and how to confidently negotiate contracts to ensure safe working conditions.
Diversify Photo and Photoville present Deep Dive, a series of professional development workshops supported by Leica Camera! Photography and photojournalism are forever evolving, and we are here to examine and celebrate approaches that go beyond the surface. These panel discussions will cover the intricacies of long-term story creation; the strategies for working better with communities that have experienced trauma; and the methodology behind journalism that focuses on solutions, not just problems.
We look forward to having you join us June 12-14 as we do a Deep Dive into not just what photojournalism is, but what it can be.
